Family Jäger

Our joint mission and vision: Ensure that our guests have an unforgettable time here in the Jägeralpe. An experience that lasts.

Four hearts for a Hallelujah!

Mother, father, son and daughter-in-law

Oskar with Johanna and Oswald with Jasmin gladly we can now count two more little hearts to the family, Oskar 7 years and Marilena 5 years.

In the morning, Oskar and Oswald are the first ones around to ensure that all our guests receive a wonderful breakfast buffet. They are happy to offer tips and ideas regarding guided hiking tours or summit tours in summer, and in winter they provide information about the ski area and their favourite slopes, for example “The White Ring” around the Arlberg. They are happy to pass along their personal tips to our guests.

During the day, Oskar is either doing a guided hiking tour with our guests to show them around our home, or he can be found in our family-owned mountain restaurant “Hochalp”.

His son Oswald is sommelier and loves to recommend fine wines to our guests. His great passion are Austrian wines. At noon he can be found in the restaurant, often also at the pizza oven, as cooking is also one of his hobbies. Besides wine and cooking, his greatest passion is aviation. Since 2009 he is helicopter pilot and regularly flies with our guest over the Alps. In 2020 he invested his time into pilot training for powered aircrafts.

At noon, Johanna welcomes you in our restaurant Jägerstube. She always keeps the overview and ensures that all our guests find a cosy spot. In summer, she gladly gives you some tips where to find blueberries and cranberries. A nice experience to pick some berries during an exhausting hike.

One of her special hobbies is making candles. Her self-poured candles can be viewed in many spots in the hotel. Johanna and Oskar are also enthusiastic golfers and spend a lot of their leisure time on the golf course in Lech (13 km).

Jasmin loves to have long conversations with our guests and she has a good instinct for the wishes of our guests and how she can make them happy. She knows where activities like ice climbing can be done, where one can find a peaceful place, which hikes can be done with children, or the current cultural offer and much more. During the day she helps out in the restaurants and she is always on the lookout for a good picture for the next post on Facebook and Instagram.

In summer, she loves to guide various outdoor activities for our guests, for example wreath binding in the middle of the most beautiful places at the Tannberg. Often the two children, Oskar and Marilena, accompany her during these activities. When hiking, watering the flowers or decorating, these two bring life into the house.

For many of our long-term staff members this family ties are an enrichment, because this is what makes working in a family-run business so precious.

It may sound tacky, but for us it is wonderful. Our long-term employees are part of our big family and together we do everything possible to ensure that our guests have an unforgettable time.

For generations the Jägeralpe is known for the authentic hospitality and the culinary pleasures.

We have one vision: our guests should have an “experience that lasts”.
